First Colony HOA letters
Did you recently receive a letter about your fence by the First Colony Homeowners Association? You are not alone, in fact they sent out over 200 letters after the first of the year for many different violations that they found in their recent patrol of sugar land homes and fences.
Don't worry, we have you covered. We have been building sugar land fences for 18 years, and we have lived in the First Colony area recently and are aware of the fence regulations.
There are a lot of options for you when it comes to hiring a fence builder, but not everyone is going to do it right and the last thing you want is to get another letter from First Colony HOA that the fence you just paid for needs to be replaced. So let us do it right the first time.
We use true western red cedar pickets, western red cedar 2x6 cap board and 1x4" trim board, as per HOA regs. We use 10' posts 36" down in concrete, 3 treated 2x4 rails and a treated 2x6" base for an overall fence height of 6'6".
We understand this new fence spec is complicated and expensive, and there is just no way to cut corners on the material end. Cedar is expensive wood. The cap board alone is $5 per linear foot! But we try to keep our prices low, and we don't recommend unnecessary cap and trim where you don't need it.
We can even help you submit your approval paperwork so it doesn't get denied. The process usually takes 2-3 weeks so when you get that letter, go ahead and submit your approval request so you don't have to wait in line later.
If you have any questions call us at Republic Fence. We do free fence estimates and will give you the cost of the job before we start so there are no surprises.
